Where are classes held?

We pop up in a variety of businesses and locations throughout Chattanooga but you can usually find us at our studio in Chattanooga Workspace, Studio 3L. Make sure to note the location of the class when you sign up.


What are class prices?

Prices vary and depend on a few variables like class supplies and the teacher’s fee. We always strive to keep class prices as affordable as possible.


I’m interested in teaching a class. What do I do?

Read more here. We would love to have you teach because we think you’re great. And if you want to teach but don’t know exactly how to communicate your ideas, we can help. We’re good at that.

Are instructors paid?

Yes, you have two options! You can either volunteer for a class, in exchange for two free future classes, or you can be paid to teach $5 per head. Payment varies depending on class size and length of class.


What happens if I can’t make it to a class?

First of all, we hope everything is okay! Second of all, cancellations are only accepted a week in advance. As we’re a traveling circus of sorts, we have to make sure your cancellation won’t cancel the class. Please email us if you need to cancel or reschedule your class.


What is your cancellation and weather policy?

The Chattery may cancel a class for extreme weather conditions (i.e. if there is a warning to not be on the roads), in the case of an emergency, if there not enough seats purchased to cover running the class (we have a 4 seat minimum for most classes unless otherwise noted), or in the event that a teacher is unable to make the class. We will reschedule the class where possible. If you cannot make the rescheduled date or we are unable to schedule one, we will refund you the price of your seat.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, credit/debit or a check made out to The Chattery. Payment is accepted online or in-person. If you would prefer to pay in-person, please email us at info@thechattery.org to arrange payment.
