Origami 101

  • The Chattery at Chattanooga WorkSpace 302 West 6th Street, Ste 3L Chattanooga, TN 37402 United States (map)

The ancient art form called Origami brings many direct benefits such as building hand-eye coordination, strengthening hands, and improving anxiety. In this class you will begin to build your paper folding skills with a few fundamental designs such as an iconic origami crane and a little, but powerful, jumping frog.

Each participant will take home their own paper creations. Origami paper is included in the cost; however participants are welcome to bring their own origami paper in addition.

About the teacher:

Clay Alexander is a practicing Chemical Engineer who has found that Origami helped him from a young age develop patience, grow confidence, learn to sequence, and build spatial orientation. He used these skills as a foundation in his Engineering education, computer programming, and artwork.
