This class will be a chance to put into practice what you know about your camera and photography. It is perfect for those who are somewhat familiar with how to work all the buttons on their camera, but would like an environment in which to practice taking photos. We will briefly go over the basics of getting your settings off of "full auto mode" to take a well-exposed image, and then we will take our cameras outside to walk around downtown Chattanooga and photograph things to our hearts' content! It's all about learning and having fun - so no pressure!
This class will be a great chance to put to use some of the tips and tricks of exposure you may have learned if you attended Understanding Your DSLR. Of course, photographer Christina Bankson will be there to help answer questions as they may come up. Learning hands-on and just 'going for it' is alwas the best, so this photo walk + talk will help further cement your working knowledge of your camera and make you feel more comfortable with taking images!
We'll meet at Chattanooga WorkSpace, and then head from there to explore downtown Chattanooga.
About the teacher:
Christina Bankson is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Chattanooga, though she's an Ohioan at heart. She has been photographing humans professionally for over 7 years, and loves every second of it (the sore feet after long weddings can go, though). She enjoys meeting new people, reading a variety of books (everything is interesting!), eating yummy food, dancing alone in the kitchen, and cuddling up with her husband to watch a good documentary and falling asleep before it's over.
