Supplies will be purchased on site and range based on what type of terrarium you choose.
About the teachers:
Cath Shaw Truelove owns Bees on a Bicycle, a garden center and gift shop located on Market Street in the heart of Chattanooga, Tennessee's vibrant Southside community. Cath Shaw, who has farming roots from both sides of her family, formerly owned a DC-based landscaping business called Garden of Urban. As part of her work, she developed an inner-city science and math program introducing over 400 youth to gardening. She was certified as a Master Gardener years ago and is known for her gardens featuring both native and exotic plants.
Taylor Bates is the co-owner of Sacred Harvest. A frequent vendor at The Chattanooga Market, he is surrounded by his creations varying from hanging kokodama moss balls to exquisite terrariums under glass. Taylor has an impressive knowledge of tropical plants, planting methods, and arrangement. He is an expert forager for local mosses using sustainable methods, many of which will be brought to this class for your use.
