Cinematics: the end of aids?
February 7, 6pm
The Palace Theater
818 Georgia Avenue
February 7th is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, and The Chattery is teaming up with Cempa Community Care for the latest Cinematics to show PBS News Hour's The End of AIDS?
The End of Aids? is a six-part series about the neglected HIV/AIDS crisis.
PBS NewsHour traveled to six places across the world to find stories of those in the middle of the AIDS epidemic. During this event, we will watch the stories from the United States and have a panel discussion about the effect of HIV/AIDS in the Southern United States.
The film screening is in partnership with Cempa, a Chattanooga nonprofit whose mission is to reach, assist, and support people impacted by HIV, Hepatitis C and STIs through compassionate and responsive delivery of education, health, social, and advocacy related services.
Drinks and snacks for purchase at The Palace Theater. Free pizza provided by Southeast Tennessee Community Planning Group, for HIV Care and Prevention.
