Cinematics: the end of aids?
February 7, 6pm
The Palace Theater
818 Georgia Avenue
February is African American AIDS Awareness Month, and The Chattery is teaming up with Cempa Chattanooga for the latest Cinematics to show PBS NewsHour's The End of Aids?
The End of Aids? is a six-part series about the neglected HIV/AIDS crisis.
PBS NewsHour traveled to six places across the world to find stories of those in the middle of the AIDS epidemic. During this event, we will watch the stories from the United States and have a panel discussion about the effect of HIV/AIDS in the Southern United States.
The film screening is in partnership with Cempa, a Chattanooga nonprofit whose mission is to reach, assist, and support people impacted by HIV, Hepatitis C and STIs through compassionate and responsive delivery of education, health, social, and advocacy related services.
Drinks and snacks for purchase at The Palace Theater.
