This class is perfect for Tarot beginners and those who are curious about Tarot, but don't quite know where to start on their own. We will learn about selecting a deck of cards for yourself, basic deck structure, card meanings and interpretations, and reading for yourself and others. Students will leave the class with a foundation of basic concepts that will allow them to move forward in their study of Tarot with greater self confidence.
About the teacher:
Katie Claiborne is an artist and art educator in Chattanooga. As a teacher, she has worked with many different types of students. She recently taught Studio Art and Art History at Chattanooga State and UTC, and currently teaches Visual Art at Hixson High School. She has also worked as an art educator and volunteer in the community and worked on projects with the Community Kitchen and Mark Making. Katie has received recognition for her art work. In addition to numerous solo and group shows around the country, some of her recent accomplishments include: speaking about her work at The Southeastern College Art Conference, showing work at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, showing work as a finalist for the Yeck Award in Miami University’s Young Painter’s Competition, and being included in Manifest Gallery’s INPA.
