About the teacher:
Mark Quering encountered hand-crafted beers for the first time during the 1980’s in the Great Northwest where he fell in love with the beer, the people, and the culture that surrounded craft brewing. After marrying, he began to dabble in home brewing with mixed results. Ten years and two kids later, he revisited his hobby armed with better ingredients, and more knowledge. Recently he started entering and judging homebrew competitions. In addition to being a home brewer, Mark is an assistant brewer at McHale’s Brewhouse and enjoys geeking out on beer with members of our local homebrew club, The Barley Mob.
Mark lives in Soddy-Daisy with his lovely wife, two awesome children, and a weird dog in the shadow of Sequoyah’s cooling towers. He loves sharing the unique community and culture of craft beer with others. If craft beer is religion, he is an evangelist.
