Teacher Spotlight: James Igani

Our growing class list would be quite difficult to pull off without the awesome instructors - and businesses - we've been so honored to meet.  We'd like to give you the same opportunity to get to know The Chattery teachers a bit better.

Meet James Igani, a certified health and wellness consultant, who will be teaching us all about energy! He will discuss how the types of food we consume can either fuel our energy bank or deplete it. He will also discuss other energy suppressants and ways to reduce their effects, such as chronic pain, inefficient ways to confront daily stressors, anxiety and sleep deprivation.

James Igani is a certified nutritionist and author of a dynamic book titled "Back To Health America." His book exposes the real causes of diseases among the Americans and the organizations promoting the lifestyles that lead to such diseases. He has been the only instructor in Chattanooga that has been able to help his clients reverse their chronic diseases successfully. Diseases such as diabetes, migraine headaches, chronic constipation, acid reflux, sleep disorders, joint pains and obesity. His successes with his clients have been published by Chattanooga Times-Free Press and in his wellness book.

How did you get started in your profession?

I lived in Iran for the first 16 years of my life. My father had a great influence on my thoughts and decisions I made with my health and wellness. I have educated myself and expanded my knowledge in health and wellness through my own research and studies. Experimented my findings with my own body and moved on to my clients.

Why do you love Chattanooga?

Since I came to America, nearly 40 years ago, I have lived in Chattanooga. I love its unpredictable climate and most Chattanoogans.
