Our growing class list would be quite difficult to pull off without the awesome instructors - and businesses - we've been so honored to meet. We'd like to give you the same opportunity to get to know The Chattery teachers a bit better.
Learn more about Tyler Howell, who will be teaching us all about understanding our behaviors in two sold out classes coming up. (Don't worry, we'll add more soon!)

How did you get started in your profession?
I grew up around consulting, so I guess you could say it's in my blood! I come from a line of entrepreneurs and business owners, and this type of work has always piqued my interest. I decided to get my undergraduate degree in corporate communications, and that's where I really became interested in areas like conflict, team building, and organizational psychology. I tend to be very curious and I love to learn about different things, which works well with the work that I do.
Why do you love Chattanooga?
Oh man - for so many reasons! I was born and raised here, went to high school here (McCallie grad - Go blue!), and have returned here after about a decade away. To see the incredible changes has been remarkable. The culture is amazing, there is always something to do, and the people from Chattanoogans are the best! I've been excited to see the food scene really take off over the last decade, and with Nightfall and RiverFront Nights, the music scene is excellent. It's family friendly without being boring, and we absolutely love being back!
What's one topic you'd like to learn through The Chattery?
I would love to take a class on water color. My sister is an awesome painter and artists - a skillset that passed right by me and went to her. She painted an incredible painting in water color and seeing it made me want to give it another shot.
What's something someone would be surprised to learn about you?
I originally went to college as a Classical Voice major, and sang in the traveling classical choir. In 2007, we had the opportunity to travel to China and spend 10 days singing there. It was incredible!
