Teacher Spotlight: Breck Stewart

Our growing class list would be quite difficult to pull off without the awesome instructors - and businesses - we've been so honored to meet.  We'd like to give you the same opportunity to get to know The Chattery teachers a bit better.

Learn more about Breck Stewart below. She'll be teaching us the Art of Pumpkin Painting and more crafty classes coming up soon!

Breck Stewart is a lover of the outdoors, fresh ground coffee, a good old fashioned book, homemade gifts, but most of all DIY projects. Creating and making things is where she finds her happy place. She is blessed to have found a job at Chattanooga WorkSpace where she is surrounded by Art and Artisans everyday. She wants to be able to share the happiness she feels when making something new. She is always looking for new DIY projects that anyone can make so that she can pass them along to others.

How did you get started in your profession?

I come from a family of naturally talented Artisans & I think it's in my genes to be crafty too. Plus I love teaching & showing others how to create something that I find happiness in doing.

Why do you love Chattanooga?

It's home to me. It's where I grew up, met my husband, & my family lives. It's the best little big city you could ask for.

What's one topic you'd like to learn through The Chattery?

I would be interested in learning how to can veggies from the garden or make fresh sauces & jams for gifting around the Holidays!

What's something someone would be surprised to learn about you?

I grew up on a farm & knew how to saddle a horse before I knew how to ride a bike. I got my first horse when I was 16 months old. I was riding & showing horses by myself at age 5 until I was 16.
