Sarah Brinkley is the Bar Manager of Velo Coffee Roasters on Main Street. At Velo, Sarah hosts weekly coffee cuppings and brews beautifully crafted cups. Prior to her professional work in coffee, she developed her palate in the wine industry working internationally as a traveling winemaker. Ultimately, her career in food science is built upon a solid foundation in chemistry. Outside of Sarah's professional life you'll find her in the kitchen or the great outdoors.

How did you get started in your profession?

Building a Florence siphon coffee brewer from scratch in my undergrad chemistry days

Why do you love Chattanooga?

Chattanooga is breathtakingly beautiful and I am reminded of it nearly every day.

What's one topic you'd like to learn through The Chattery? 

Knots!

What's something someone would be surprised to learn about you?

I witnessed an avalanche in New Zealand and swam with sea turtles off the coasts of Chile and Australia.
